Kyal and Kara now have council approval for their Toowoon Bay Reno and are set to go!
While the weather is still good, they want to get as much progress on the exterior of the renovation as they can – including the garage and studio.
Kara shows us how digging is done with all the holes for the studio’s pad footing, as well as all the trenches for services, done by hand. The concrete pad footings for the studio are poured and the old driveway is cut out, with the new slab poured. Mother nature tried to halt progress but there’s plenty to do inside to make the house more liveable.
Kara chooses the beautiful bathroom tiles to transform the master bathroom, and the ceiling is given support for the removal of two smaller windows to make way for a feature window that will sit directly over the bath – which we can’t wait to see!
Clever adjustments are made to the upstairs floor plan to create a linen closet in the hallway, and a robe in the master bedroom.
Their house is officially a building site with scaffolding arriving! We can’t wait see the rest of the transformation.
In the next episode we may even get to see a guest appearance from Wideline!
