Western Red Cedar is widely recognised as the ultimate sustainable building product. It produces fewer greenhouse gases, generates less water and air pollution, requires less energy to produce than alternatives and comes from a renewable and sustainable resource.
In addition, all of our Western Red Cedar has Chain of Custody FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) Certification and PEFC™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest) Certification .
FSC® Chain of Custody is an information trail about the path taken by products from the forest to the consumer. FSC® certification provides a credible guarantee to customers that products originate from well managed forests, controlled sources, reclaimed materials, or a mixture of these.
